WIDOWS WELFARE SCHEME, OKOWA IS A PROMISE KEEPER INDEED.

The Senior Special Assistant to Delta Governor Ifeanyi A. Okowa on social Investment programs (SIP) who doubles as State coordinator, Widows welfare Scheme/ World Bank D- Cares Livelihood support unit, Chief Dr Isioma Okonta, the Odogwu widows Alert has applauded His Execellency, Senator Dr Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa, the incoming Vice President of Nigeria for taken the issue of the poor and vulnerable widows in the State to the front bunner through Widows welfare Scheme.
Governor Okowa’s benevolence and kindheartedness towards the poor and the vulnerable widows in the State, especially, the poorest of the poor, is unspeakable and inmeasurable, describing the programme as a huge success and second to non in Nigeria.
Dr Isioma Okonta Stated this in a chat with news men in his office in Asaba, Delta State.
Dr Okonta said Governor Okowa is a living legend sent by God to help the poor, especially the poor of the poorest amongst the widows, stating that Okowa has turned the tears and pains of these poor widows to joy through the life changing programme, widows welfare scheme initiated in 2018 by Ekwueme to Cater for those women that lost their husbands.
While commending Governor Okowa, the incoming vice president the federal Republic of Nigeria for standing out as welfare master, stating that Governor Okowa is the only sitting Governor that is paying 20,000 widows monthly stipend including free health care services in approved hospitals in the State and also trained and empowered more than 560 young and energetic widows in various trades and skills to be self reliance and financial independence.

Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori will follow the footprint of Okowa on widows welfare scheme.
He asserted that the incoming Governor of Delta State Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori will take Widows welfare programme to a higher dimension, noting that Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori knows the pain these widows are going through and he will not abandon nor forsake them as the number one citizen of the State come 2023.
He said the widows in the State will joyfully mobilize and vote for Okowa and Sheriff to ensure both win convincingly come 2023.
