There is permanent political gnashing of teeth and frustration currently plaguing the campaign council of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Delta State and her governorship candidate, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, for obvious reasons.

As a matter of fact, the governorship candidate and world acclaimed mace runner and unbeatable betrayal of all time, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege has gone into hiding. The Igbe traditional worshipper is missing in action and his handful of supporters are moving about like sheep without a shepherd.

As a matter of fact, Agege’s campaign office along Summit Road in Asaba, may soon be under lock and key, as offices have been deserted by the unpaid staff who were seen issuing curses and blaming those that recruited them to work for a governorship candidate who is not ready for election, dead broke and no political structures to campaign across Delta State.

The first straw that broke the camel’s back was the mass resignation by his key political aides, followed by chieftains of the party who jointly and severally vowed to sabotage Agege’s campaign because of what they termed “despotic, radical, crude and deceptive leadership style.”

This accounted for Agege’s poor outings after his campaign flag off. Everywhere he went, the campaign venues were empty and in some cases youth gather themselves together and chased Agege and his poverty APC campaign people from their communities.

This ugly incidents occured frequently and Agege had to suspend campaigns across Delta State. As you read this piece, Agege is nowhere to be found, gone into hiding and majority of his campaign members joined the Sheriffied campaign moving train of the excessive local content incoming governor of Delta State, Rt Hon Sheriff Francis Oborevwori, the Ukodo of Okpe Kingdom.

Just as Agege was planning to pick up his pieces and borrow money to continue his campaign, the entire Ijaw Nation roared and chased Senator Agege and his poverty APC from all villages, towns and cities in the landscape occupied by the good people of Ijaw ethnic nationality.

The event which unveiled Oborevwori as the sole governorship candidate of Ijaw Nation, finally knocked off Agege and his epileptic APC from the governorship race, positioning PDP and Oborevwori for landslide victory and as the real deal for 2023 in Delta State.

Here is the political equation resolved in favour of Oborevwori and PDP; Delta Central is entirely for PDP and Oborevwori on a 5/5 winning forecast. The good people of Delta Central Senatorial District said they are okay with an Oborevwori government in Delta State, which will ensure purposeful leadership devoid of nepotism, arrogance and pride.

They are more comfortable to deal with a superb local content governor who is accessible, humble, competent, God fearing and result oriented as revealed in the character and person of the PDP governorship candidate, Oborevwori and his running mate, Sir Monday Onyeme.

Those around Agege and APC leaders in Delta State are leaving their candidate and the party in droves. The Mammoth crowd at the Ughelli North campaign rally in Ughelli Township Stadium on Wednesday points to the fact that APC is dead and buried in Ughelli North LGA and across the state.

In Delta South, the Ijaw, Isoko and Itsekiri people spoke with one voice during PDP local government campaign rallies. Former governor of the state, Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan made it clear at Warri South, Uvwie and Isoko North campaign rallies that Itsekiri and Isoko nations sole governorship candidate is Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori of PDP.

And in Delta North, Agege and APC have been declared as political lepers. The vice presidential candidate of PDP, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa and the leaders obviously locked the gates of Delta North against Senator Agege and APC, and threw the keys into the Atlantic Ocean. Case closed.

When next you see Agege, take a close look at him, you will see what I mean, FAILURE.

Oborevwori ‘s M.O.R.E agenda will ensure meaningful development, opportunity for all Deltans, realistic reforms and enhanced peace and security anchored on transparency, accountability, honesty and good governance.
