Council Election: Ogedegbe Harps On Security, Socioeconomic Development In Ethiope East

Council chairmanship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Ethiope East Local Government Area, Chief Augustine Ogedegbe, has assured the people that the council under his leadership would ensure adequate security, unity, peaceful coexistence, socioeconomic and infrastructure development.
He gave the assurance on Wednesday during the LGA PDP campaign train visits to royal fathers in Agbon Kingdom, Abraka kingdom and the President General of the Urhobo Progress Union, UPU, Chief Ese Gam, and Ethiope East UPU President Generals, saying that he shall emulate the good governance strides of the state party leader and governor of Delta State, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori.
Ogedegbe noted that Ethiope East is well positioned in the political equation of the state under the pragmatic leadership of governor Oborevwori, adding that his tenure as Council Chairman shall attract uncommon development to the area due to his level of preparedness to turn things around for the benefit of the good people of Ethiope East.
The campaign train which was lead by the Chairman of the PDP Campaign Council in the LGA, Hon Felix Erhimedafe, had a successful outing as royal fathers and the President General of UPU worldwide, Chief Ese Gam prayed for Chief Augustine Ogedegbe and councilors, in their quest to serve the people without blemish.
The Ovie of Agbon Kingdom, Ukori 1, His Royal Majesty, Michael Omeru, CON, described Ogedegbe as a valuable son of Agbon Kingdom, a vibrant and popular politician with the required leadership skills and humility needed to mobilize the people for uncommon results and delivery of dividends of democracy to the people, while thanking the state governor, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, for his good governance strides and prudent management of state resources in the past one year and counting.
In the same vein, the Ovie of Umiaghwa, HRM (AVM) Ochuko Ararile (Rtd), Avwaeke 1, lauded Ogedegbe’s vision and plans for the local government area, while emphasizing on credible leadership, accountability to the people. He urged Ogedegbe to work very hard, set unbreakable records and to be accountable to the people.
In Oruarivie Kingdom, HRM Majoroh, Ojeta 11, endorsed Chief Ogedegbe’s candidacy, and urged him to unite the people of Ethiope East through regular town hall meetings and consultations with royal fathers, leaders, women and youths. The traditional ruler expressed his belief that Ogedegbe’s tenure shall bring about the much-needed socioeconomic and infrastructure transformation in Ethiope East.
The President General of Urhobo Progress Union (UPU), Barr Ese Gam, declared his full support for Ogedegbe’s candidacy, and highlighted the his deep rooted commitment to the development of Ethiope East, as well as his unwavering dedication to the welfare of the people.
The UPU President General urged all communities and eligible voters across federal and Dsiec wards in Ethiope East LGA to support and vote Ogedegbe, while assuring the people that the PDP chairmanship candidate will deliver on his electioneering campaigns promises.
Prominent leaders and top government functionaries present at the various campaign events on Wednesday include; the Deputy Speaker of Delta State House of Assembly, Dr Hon Arthur Akpowowo, LGA party leader, Chief Bernard Edewor, Chairman, Governing Council of College of Education, Mosogar, Rt Hon Sunny Emeyese, Councillorship candidates, and others too numerous to mention.
