A New Dawn In Environmental Sanitation In Delta State
By Udueme Ejime
This was made possible today by the Delta State Commissioner for Environment, Chief Godspower Omafuvwe Asiuwhu who ensured a total compliance in Asaba and its environs.
He ensured that there was strict compliance in the no movement order from 7am to 10am in Asaba and it’s environs.
“He thoroughly monitored the exercise on a motorcycle. I called it leadership by example”.
Defaulters were apprehended and sent to the mobile court where many cases were heard and face trial immediately in line with the relevant laws.
In Delta and some other states, the last Saturday of every month is mostly set aside as a day for environmental sanitation exercise but this order was almost going into extinction. Hence, with the appointment of Olorogun Godspower Omafuvwe Asiuwhu JP, as Honourable Commissioner for Environment, I know Deltans will begin to see a clean and greenworld environment.
“Thank God for a very resourceful and competent commissioner, Chief Asiuwhu who took the bull by the horns by changing the narratives”
It’s your first assignment since assumption of office and is highly commendable sir.
Keep up the good work sir!
