The Senior Special Assistant to the Delta State Governor on Community Development, Chief Oscar Ishaka, the Okoke of Udu Kingdom, has expressed profound appreciation to the Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, for approving and awarding the long-awaited Udu/ECN Road Project.

Chief Ishaka described the award of the road project as another demonstration of Governor Oborevwori’s commitment to infrastructure development and the delivery of the dividends of democracy to the people of Delta State through his M.O.R.E. Agenda.

Speaking on the significance of the project, the former President of Opete Community said the reconstruction of the Udu/ECN Road would bring immense relief to residents of Udu Local Government Area, neighbouring Ughelli South, and thousands of motorists and commuters who use the busy and heavily congested route daily.

According to him, the deplorable condition of the road has caused untold hardship for road users over the years, affecting transportation, commercial activities, and the movement of goods and services. He expressed optimism that the project would not only improve connectivity but also stimulate economic growth and enhance the quality of life of the people.

Chief Ishaka commended Governor Oborevwori for listening to the yearnings of the people and responding with decisive action. He assured the Governor of the continued support and loyalty of the people of Udu Kingdom and beyond.

He further stated that the people would reciprocate the Governor’s good works by giving him overwhelming support and massive votes during the 2027 general elections, stressing that the administration’s visible developmental projects have continued to earn the confidence and admiration of Deltans.
