UDU LGC 2ND ANNIVERSARY: Tako Hails Oyibode’s Developmental Strides
Comr. Tako Oshoghene Daniel, popularly known as “D Mayor of Udu,” has congratulated the Executive Chairman of Udu Local Government Council, Olorogun Vincent Ogheneruemu Oyibode, JP, FCIA, on his impactful two years in office, which will be marked on July 15, 2026.
In a congratulatory message, Tako described Oyibode’s administration as one that has brought purposeful leadership, visible development, and people-oriented governance to Udu Local Government.
According to him, within two years in office, the Council Chairman has recorded remarkable achievements across infrastructure, education, security, and youth empowerment.
He listed some of the administration’s key accomplishments to include the purchase of four official vehicles for the Leader of the Legislative Arm, the Secretary to the Local Government (SLG), the Head of Personnel Management (HPM), and the Treasurer of the Local Government (TLG).
Tako also commended the ongoing construction of the Chairman’s Residential Quarters, which is about 70 percent completed, the construction of a modern Divisional Police Headquarters in Otor-Udu, as well as residential quarters for the Nigeria Police, both of which have also reached about 70 percent completion.
He further applauded the completion and furnishing of the Executive Chairman’s Office Complex and the Udu Local Government Council Chapel, describing them as projects that have enhanced the image and functionality of the council.
Other notable projects highlighted include the ongoing construction of the Ujevwu Community Town Hall, the installation of a transformer in Egini Community, and the comprehensive rehabilitation of the plumbing system at the Udu Local Government Council Secretariat.
On education, Tako praised the revitalisation of 17 Adult Education Centres across Udu and the engagement of 34 teachers to improve adult learning, describing the initiative as worthy of emulation.
He equally lauded the Council Chairman for creating employment opportunities for many Udu youths, noting that the administration has demonstrated a genuine commitment to youth empowerment and human capital development.
While congratulating Oyibode on the milestone, Tako urged him to sustain the pace of development and continue delivering the dividends of democracy to the people of Udu.
He prayed for God’s continued guidance, wisdom, good health, and strength upon the Council Chairman as he continues to lead the local government to greater heights.
