U.S.-Based Rose Francis Foundation Boosts Healthcare In Abraka, Donates Benches To General Hospital

A Nonprofit Organization, Rose Francis Foundation, on Tuesday donated benches worth hundreds of thousands to the Abraka general hospital, Ethiope East local government area of Delta State

Presenting the benches to the Medical Director of the Abraka General Hospital, Dr. Omyimi Chukwuma on behalf of the Rose Francis Foundation, Chief (Barr) Ufuoma Scott said the donation of benches was part of the foundation’s contribution to the hospital.

Chief (Barr.) Ufuoma Scott said the Rose Francis Foundation is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization located in North Carolina USA, whose primary purpose is to serve women, children, and families that fall within the preventable resource gaps in the community.

Barr. Scott pointed out that the foundation also provides food and additional resources through their services to women, children, and families, mostly the vulnerable and less privilege ones.

She said Rose Francis Foundation was founded in 2020 as a resource and support for communities in the area of needs, and that the foundation was named after chief Rosaline Oliha and Chief Francis Oghojafor.

Speaking further, Chief (Barr.) Ufuoma Scott noted that the focus of the foundation is to assist young mothers and their children, and also dedicated to empowering low-income women, children and families by providing essential resources such as food, financial assistance, parenting support and educational programs.

She explained that the foundation’s goals is to help families build stronger, more stable future through compassionate and community-focussed services.

The foundation also have other passion projects such as education assistance in the form of an annual scholarships to students in tertiary institutions as well as assisting in other areas of needs-providing such as the benches donated the hospital.
