2027: Vote APC Candidates From Top To Bottom, Oyibode Tells Udu Residents

The Executive Chairman of Udu Local Government Council, Olorogun(Hon.), Vincent Ogheneruemu Oyibode, has called on residents and political supporters in Udu Local Government Area of Delta State to remain united and vote all candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 general elections as he revealed that divided voting pattern hinders development in Udu.

Oyibode made the appeal during the inauguration of the UNIQUE SOUND MINDS INITIATIVE held at Otor-Udu Primary School where he addressed party faithful, women groups, youths, and community stakeholders on the need for political unity and grassroots development.

Speaking passionately in pidgin English, the council Chairman urged the people to “get it right this time,” cautioning against attempts by some individuals or groups to persuade voters to support candidates from different political parties for various elective positions.

According to him, political office holders and leaders often secure appointments and personal benefits irrespective of election outcomes, while ordinary citizens suffer the consequences of poor governance, underdevelopment, and abandoned projects.

He stressed that bad roads, poor infrastructure and lack of government presence affect the masses directly, insisting that those encouraging split voting would not bear the hardship faced daily by the people.

The Udu council boss therefore appealed to the electorate to support the APC from top to bottom in future elections in order to sustain development and attract more government projects to the locality.

Oyibode further stated that the current political structure in Udu was built on unity, honesty, and collective progress, noting that leaders who previously operated separately had now resolved to work together in the overall interest of the people.

He commended women groups and grassroots supporters for their loyalty and steadfast commitment to the party, expressing confidence that APC candidates would emerge victorious through overwhelming support from the electorate.

The chairman also warned against political groups promoting division within the party or advocating support for different political parties, maintaining that total support for the APC remained the surest path to continued development in Udu and Delta State at large.

Oyibode lauded the administration of Sheriff Oborevwori for the near completion of the Udu Harbour Market project and the proposed commencement of the Udu ECN Road project.

He argued that opposition politics had not favoured Udu Kingdom since 1999, adding that unity under one political platform remained necessary to attract meaningful development to the area.
