*** Party Suffers Another Major Set Back In Eku
The All Progressives Congress (APC) was hit by a tsunami on Friday, November 11, 2022 in Abraka, Ethiope East Local Government Area of Delta, when over 250 members of the party dumped it for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The Party equally suffered a major setback in Eku, also in the Ethiope East Local Government Area of the State when some of its members decamped to the PDP.
Both decampees in Abraka and Eku promised to work for the victory of the PDP in the 2023 general elections. A former House of Assembly Candidate of the APC in 2015, Engr. O. Igbru was among those who decamped to PDP in Eku Ward 9.
Receiving the decampees at the Abraka PO Ward 1, and Eku Ward 9, the Deputy State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Chief Val Arenyeka said that their decision to leave the party was a wise one.
He assured them that they will enjoy all benefits in PDP, imploring them to make good use of their PVCs to kick out the APC from their areas.
The Chairman of Abraka PO Ward 1, Mr. Odesenika Ejiro, and Eku Ward 9 Chairman, Chief Friday Aghoghovia, while speaking said that with the huge number of members of the opposition who dumped the party in the areas, the coast was clear for victory for the Peoples Democratic Party. They said that victory was sure for the PDP in the 2023 general elections and appealed for basic amenities in the areas.
The Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party in Ethiope East Local Government Area, Hon. Felix Ejovwoke
Erhimedafe, assured that the people of the area will vote massively for the party next year.
Earlier, the Chairmen of Ward 2 Urhuovie-Abraka — Lawrence Ekakitie, Ward 3, Ora-Abraka, Chief Samson Akpobome, Ward 5, Oviorie-Ovu, Chief Adifue, and Okpara-Water Side, Ward 8, Benson Paris Uhali, promised to deliver all PDP candidates in their various Wards.
They commended Governor Ifeanyi Okowa and the Gubernatorial candidate for the developmental strides across the nooks and crannies of the Local Government Area, and reiterated their position to reciprocate the Governor’s good gesture and promised to vote for Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and Governor Ifeanyi Okowa for President and Vice-President respectively; Rt. Addressing the people of Ethiope East Local Government Area, the Delta State PDP Governorship Candidate for the 2023 general election and Speaker, Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Francis Orohwedor Oborevwori, promised the people a better deal if elected Governor next year.
He said that; “I plead with you to vote for PDP. Vote for House of Assembly, Senate, House of Representatives, vote for Governorship, Atiku-Okowa for President and Vice-President respectively. Let us vote PDP all-the-way and kick out APC that has brought pains to our people. The party has failed Nigerians and do not have anything to campaign with. We should reject APC with their empty promises”.

Mrs. Erhiatake Ibori-Suenu, PDP House of Representatives Candidate, Ethiope East/Ethiope West Federal Constituency and Olorogun Arthur Akpovwovwo, PDP Delta State House of Assembly Candidate, Ethiope East Constituency, solicited for their votes, saying they will not be disappointed if they deliver the party.
