Oyibode Inaugurates Staff Audit Committee To Reduce Wage Bill, Create Employment Opportunities.

The Executive Chairman of Udu Local Government Council, Olorogun (Hon.) Vincent Ogheneruemu Oyibode, JP FCIA has constituted a Staff Audit Committee as part of efforts aimed at reducing the council’s wage bill and creating opportunities for the possible employment of unemployed indigenes in Udu Local Government Area.

Speaking during the inauguration of the committee today, Monday, May 11, 2026 at his office in Otor-Udu, the Udu Council boss said the committee is saddled with the responsibility of ascertaining the bona fide staff of the Udu Local Government Council and the Local Education Authority (LEA), as well as verifying active staff currently in service.

Oyibode stated that the exercise became necessary to ensure transparency, accountability and efficiency in the management of the council’s workforce and financial resources.

He explained that the committee is expected to thoroughly carry out the assignment and submit its report within two weeks from the date of receipt of the appointment letter.

The chairman expressed confidence in the ability of the committee members to deliver on their mandate diligently and in the overall interest of the council and the people of Udu Local Government Area.
