Alatan Presents Educational Materials To Physically Impaired In Delta

The Delta State Ministry of Women Affairs Community and Social Development under the leadership of Hon(Mrs) Flora Alatan presented educational materials to physically impaired(blind) persons in Delta State.
The commissioner while presenting the items said HE Sen(Dr) Ifeanyi Okowa specifically wrote on the Memo of approval, stating ‘treat urgently’. The speed with which the approval was given to the request was a testament to the commitment of Delta State Government to the needs of physically challenged persons in the state. According to her, the government ensured that the learning materials are complete package for persons that are physically impaired. She assured them of the Government readiness to continue to support persons living with disabilities in Delta State.
While responding on behalf of the recipients, Mr Monday expressed joy over the equipments that was presented to them. He said the Ministry surpassed their expectations because they got beyond what they requested. Moreso, he was not surprised because the exploits of Hon (Mrs) Flora Alatan is trending all over the state. Hence, his effort to contact the ministry for assistance and that has come into reality in excess. Mr Monday promised to put the gadgets into judicious use to become useful to himself, family and society in general. He went further to pray for HE Sen(Dr) Ifeanyi Okowa and Hon (Mrs) Flora Alatan for God’s protection in their daily endeavour.
The high point of the event was the presentation of learning materials to beneficiaries. Those present at the ceremony was the Permanent Secretary Mrs Oghenekevwe Agas, Mr Peter Okocha, etc.
