Ekabo FC win Esaba peace cup 2023

The Ekabo FC have won the 2023 Esaba City Football Competition after defeating Ovwere FC by 4-2.
The eight Football Clubs that participated in this year’s Football Competition tagged ‘Esaba Peace Cup 2023’ are Dr. Matthew Dore FC, Late Oyibu Biagboron Darah FC, Late Awolowo Muayor FC, Late Ovwere FC, Prof. G.G. Darah FC, Very Rev Fr Dr Christopher Ekabo FC, Saturday Clark FC and Prof. J.T Agberia FC.
The win ensured Ekabo FC lifted their first Esaba Cup since the inception of annual competition. The Football Club named in honour of the Episcopal Vicar for Politics, Public Relations and Government Affairs of the Catholic Diocese of Warri, Very Rev Fr Dr Christopher Ekabo, JP featured young talented players good enough to play for European Clubs and the Nigeria National Teams.
In the buildup to the victory, Ekabo FC defeated Saturday Clark FC 2 – 1 and Prof. J.T. Agberia FC 5-3 on penalties after a 1-1 full time draw to qualify for quarter finals and semifinals respectively.
