By Henry Ubus
As Nigerian Christians join other faithful across the world to celebrate Christmas today Sunday, the Executive Chairman of Udu Local Government Council and Delta State House of Assembly Candidate Udu Constituency in the forthcoming 2023 general elections, Hon. Chief Jite Brown (JP) has said Christmas signifies peace and as such, Deltans and the good people of Udu in particular should resolve to live in peace.
In a goodwill message to mark the birth of Jesus Christ and the 2023 New Year celebrations, Hon. Chief Jite enjoined all to embrace the virtues of peace and love that the Christmas epitomised.
Hon. Chief Jite stated, “Christmas signifies hope and salvation brought to the world in need of redemption.
“The world would be a better place if the values and virtues reflected by the holy birth of Christ, especially love for one another, were practiced faithfully.”
“We pray and hope with faith that the coming year would usher in more peace, progress, prosperity and fulfillment for all across the Communities of Udu Kingdom.
I congratulate all Christians for witnessing yet another Christmas season. I advise all of you to use the festive period for sober reflections and total spiritual renewals and devotion towards living in peace and harmony with adherents of other religions. Jite added.
