“Ukodhiko Hails Oborevwori As A Champion Of Unity And Progress”

The Member Representing Isoko Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, Hon. Jonathan Ukodhiko, has described Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, as an apostle of unity in Nigeria.

Ukodhiko stated this on Sunday, in Oleh, during an enlarged meeting of leaders, political appointees and stakeholders of Isoko South Local Government Area.

He emphasised that Governor Oborevwori has tried and still trying to foster unity in the state irrespective of peoples political party, saying, “It is imperative that as members of PDP in the state, all must emulate the Governor to strengthen the unity and work hard for his return in 2027.

“As leaders, political appointees and stakeholders of PDP, we must join hands together with the Governor to move the party forward.

“We must be united at all times and put the interest of the state and Isoko land at heart. Everyone should focus and spread the Governor’s laudable achievements within a space of 19 months,” he stated.

He further added that though he is a first timer in the House of Representatives, that he has been able to fix and attract lots of projects into the 2025 national budget and that the people will see more developments in the area that will complement the laudable achievements of the Governor in the state.

Also speaking at the event, the Chief of Staff Government House Asaba, Hon. Prince Johnson Erijo, lauded all who came for the meeting, noting that the meeting was to foster unity among party members and also to extend hands of love to the people of the area in the yuletide season.

“We are gathered here today to preach peace and unity amongst us in this area. We must and should always abide and uphold the tenets of unity just like Governor Oborevwori is doing.

“Also be steadfast in all you do as the Governor will reach out to appoint more people from this area,” he assured.

Hon. Erijo went further to welcome over 100 decampees from APC and other political parties into the PDP. He urged them to remain steadfast and work for the progress of the party while assuring that no one will discriminate against them.

Hon. Erijo assured the gathering that with more people decamping to the PDP within the area, the party would no longer witness the kind of stress it underwent during the 2023 general elections.

“Isoko South leaders are working round the clock because it is the first LGA in the state to win opposition members back to the party. Governor Oborevwori is a saleable candidate as he is widely accepted and loved by all irrespective of political affiliations in Nigeria.”
