Member representing Isoko Federal Constituency at the National Assembly, Hon. (Pst.) Jonathan Ukodhiko, has admonished Christians to live a life of peace, holiness, transparency, sacrifice in order to have divine encounter with God.
The House of Representatives member gave the admonition on Sunday, while preaching on the topic, ‘Divine Encounter’ at the New Life Parish of the Redeemed Christian Church of God at Otibio
in Isoko North Local Government Area of Delta State.
The Isoko Federal lawmaker took his biblical text for the sermon from the book of Jeremiah 29:11-14, and he looked at destiny to Christians from the perspective of God’s plans and purposes for a secured future.
He stated that, God’s plans for His children are good health, peace, greatness, fulfillment while citing examples of Abraham and Esther in the Bible.
He encouraged the people not to lose hope that they would have an encounter with God for the manifestations of their destinies.
Hon. Ukodhiko who is an associate pastor at RCCG charged the people to key into the words of God, and make sacrifices for divine encounter.
Noting that, “to have an encounter with God one must seek peace always, live a life of transparency, of holiness, having faith and trust in God, not running after the things of the world.
“As Christians, you must re-examine your life and change for good. You must also, remove negative and evil thoughts from your hearts. Be positively minded and live a good life for the realisation of your destinies.” Hon. Ukodhiko added.
The service saw many worshippers re-dedicating their lives to God Almighty, and special prayers sessions, especially for the National Assembly member.
