The Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors (RHA) in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State, Hon. Chief Jaro Movudu Egbo, has pledged the group’s strong support for the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the MORE Agenda of Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori.

Egbo made the commitment while welcoming the Delta State Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, Rt. Hon. Solomon Funkekeme, who led a state delegation to Ughelli North on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, as part of the organisation’s statewide grassroots sensitisation campaign.

The sensitisation programme, held at the Ughelli North Council Secretariat, attracted RHA coordinators, APC leaders, political stakeholders, ward executives, women and youth leaders, religious representatives and other grassroots mobilisers.

Welcoming the delegation, Egbo expressed appreciation to Funkekeme and his team for bringing the Renewed Hope message to the grassroots, saying the people of Ughelli North were witnessing positive developments at the federal, state and local government levels.

He commended President Tinubu for implementing economic reforms aimed at strengthening the Nigerian economy, improving governance and creating opportunities for sustainable development.

Egbo also praised Governor Oborevwori for what he described as the positive impact of his administration’s policies and programmes on the people of Delta State.

According to him, the increase in monthly allocations to local governments has created greater opportunities for councils to execute people-oriented projects and programmes.

He said the Ughelli North Local Government Council had recorded notable developments, including improvements in infrastructure, electricity interventions and workers’ welfare.

He urged members and supporters of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors to remain committed to the Tinubu administration and continue sensitising the people on the benefits of the Federal Government’s reforms.

In his address, the Delta State Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, Rt. Hon. Solomon Funkekeme, said the sensitisation programme was designed to educate Nigerians on the reforms, policies and achievements of the Tinubu administration.

Funkekeme recalled that the Renewed Hope Agenda was introduced at a period when the country was facing serious economic and governance challenges, including fuel scarcity, long queues at filling stations, exchange-rate instability, salary arrears and recurring industrial actions in the education sector.

He highlighted what he described as improvements in the nation’s education sector, noting that universities had witnessed sustained academic activities without prolonged nationwide strikes by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU).

Funkekeme also highlighted the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND), describing it as a landmark intervention designed to provide eligible students with tuition support and upkeep allowances, thereby reducing the financial burden on parents and expanding access to higher education.

On the removal of fuel subsidy, the RHA state coordinator defended the policy, arguing that it had increased revenue available to states and local governments and provided subnational governments with greater resources to meet their obligations to workers and execute development projects.

He maintained that the reforms of the Tinubu administration were laying the foundation for long-term economic growth and development.

Funkekeme urged members of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors to intensify grassroots engagement by explaining government policies to Nigerians, correcting misinformation and mobilising support for the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the 2027 general elections.

He called on party leaders, ward coordinators, women and youth leaders and other stakeholders to work together in taking the Renewed Hope message to every community across Delta State.

The programme was attended by APC chieftains, elected and appointed public office holders, ward executives, representatives of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), Muslim leaders, youths, women leaders and other grassroots stakeholders.
