Sharta Congratulates Oborevwori on his Victory at the Supreme Court against Ikie
By Philip Onome
Hon. Benjamin Sharta (aka DJ Ben) has congratulated the Executive Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sherrif Oborevwori on his Supreme court victory in a case filed by Chief Ikie Aghwarianovwe seeking the disqualification of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori as candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2023 governorship election.
The Supreme on Friday in a unanimous judgement dismissed the appeal brought by Chief Ikie for lacking in merit.
Speaking at the thanksgiving ceremony held in government House Chapel after the news of the supreme judgement, Hon. Benjamin Sharta while clearing the air on those intending APC faithfuls that are ready to join hands with Governor Oborevwori but are affraid of being put aside said; “I strongly enjoin all those APC faithfuls willing to join the PDP to quickly come and join us in the PDP.”
“I Wish to clear the air on the fear that APC members will be side lined from of major activities in the state if you join PDP. Not at all. Do not be affraid to come and join the winning team of the PDP, because since I joined the PDP, I have been treated well in the system and I wish to state that the PDP is one big family that can accommodate everyone in the state. PDP is like a home for everyone no discrimination, no antagonism; everyone is the same.”
He added; “With a heart full of joy, I congratulate His Excellency the Executive Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori. I therefore urge my former formal colleagues in the All Progressive Congress (APC) and all well meaningful Deltans to join our amiable Governor Sheriff in putting Delta state in the spotlight of growth”.
While hailing Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for winning in the Delta state Governorship Election Petition Tribunal judgement filed by Labour Party and its Governorship candidate Deacon Kennedy Pela, Hon. Sharta further urged Ken Pela to return to his PDP family and join hands with Governor Sheriff to further transform the state beyond expectation.
