Maurice Commends Run and Rave Convener, Says 2027 Will Be a ‘Coronation’
Dr. Maurice Ojo-Ede, Executive Assistant on Political Affairs to the Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Francis Oborevwori, has commended the convener of the Run and Rave event, Collins Leonard Oghenerouna for what he described as the successful organisation of the programme.
Ojo-Ede gave the commendation while speaking with an Arise correspondent, where he described the event as a demonstration of the enthusiasm and political consciousness of Delta youths ahead of the 2027 general elections.
According to him, the impressive turnout and participation at the event showed that young people in the state were prepared to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Sheriff Oborevwori in the 2027 elections.
He said the event had provided another platform for youths to express their solidarity and commitment to the political leadership of the country and Delta State.
“2027 won’t just be an election but a coronation because we are all ready to show where we stand.
“We have stood with one voice, and the mantra is to deliver the President and Governor come 2027 because we are satisfied with the job they have done so far,” Ojo-Ede said.
He further praised Ibori for bringing together young people through the Run and Rave initiative, noting that programmes that promote youth participation, unity and social engagement could contribute positively to the development of Delta State.
Ojo-Ede said the enthusiasm displayed by participants was an indication that the youths remained an important constituency in determining the political direction of the state and the country in 2027.
He therefore called on young people to remain united, peaceful and actively involved in democratic processes, stressing the need for them to translate their political convictions into constructive participation as the 2027 elections approach.
The Run and Rave event brought together youths and other participants in an atmosphere of entertainment, social interaction and political expression, with supporters using the occasion to reaffirm their support for the Tinubu and Oborevwori administrations.
