JUBILATION AS DESOPADEC STAFF SHOWER ENCOMIUM ON DESOPADEC COMMISSIONER, GORU KARO.

~~ As Commissioner visits area offices.

The Coordinators and staff of the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, DESOPADEC, yesterday eulogised the DESOPADEC Commissioner representing Udu, Ughelli South, Uvwie and Urhobos of Warri South LGAs, Hon. Goru Karo for his integrity, accessibility, transparency among others.

They made these remarks during a formal familiarization tour by the Member as part of his commitment with staff in their various area offices in his mandate area covering Otor-Udu, Otu-Jeremi and Effurun in Udu, Ughelli South and Uvwie LGAs of Delta State.

In their welcome remarks, the Coordinators of the DESOPADEC area offices, Mr. Austin Kpomah, Mr. Utuama Christopher and Mr. Ighrakpata Collins described Hon. Goru as a quintessential leader, given his ability to nurture others, his exemplary conduct, good communication skills, emotional intelligence, a team player and a leader with ability to bring about positive changes.

The Coordinators stressed that Goru karo possesses the right qualities required to give credibility that could move the Commission and particularly his mandate area forward.

According to them, “Since you resumed on 26th May, 2023, we have come to see a man somehow misunderstood, so misunderstood only by people whose aims, objectives and drive are rather beclouded by ulterior motives and intentions.

“We see a man whose level of integrity runs way above the norms generally obtainable in the present day Nigeria. The name Hon. Goru Karo has now acquired State status of repute.”

Also speaking, other staff members pointed out that since Hon. Goru was appointed into the position, the Udu, Ughelli South and Uvwie LG area offices have leaped to a higher performance in discharging their functions creditably with a higher rate of integrity.

The staff described Hon. Goru’s dexterity in administration and management even on Welfare matters as second to none, adding that the promptness he attached to all matters concerning the commission was a great relief to the staff.

“We wish you the very best as you step forth to make the staff and the good people of your mandate area proud, most especially the oil producing communities,” they said.
