By Henry Ubus
The CEO of Wilson Ejeben Foundation, Double Chief Wilson Brume Ejeben, has added another accolade to his name by receiving an award as one of the most influential Deltans. The ceremony took place at Orona Hall, Sweet Spirit Hotel, Okpanam Road, Asaba, Delta State yesterday August 31, 2023. The Convener of the event, Amb. Dr. Mayorkings, explained that the Influential Deltans Award aims to honor Deltans who have significantly impacted the lives of people in Delta State and Nigeria as a whole.
During the presentation, Comr. Henry Ubus accepted the award on behalf of Double Chief Ejeben and expressed gratitude to the event organizers for recognizing the contributions of the Isio of Udu and Bobaselu of Ugbo Kingdom. He believed this recognition would motivate Double Chief Ejeben to continue his impactful work.
In a phone conversation, Double Chief Ejeben dedicated the award to God and appealed to the Delta State Government to address the ongoing conflict between Aladja and Ogbe-Ijoh. He emphasized that sustainable development cannot thrive in an atmosphere of crisis and urged for a resolution to revive economic activities in both communities.
