Abraka PDP leaders Receive Izu, Pass A Vote Of Confidence On Oborevwori

The Abraka Ward 2 Chapter of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Ethiope East Local Government Area, Delta State, has welcomed the immediate past Chairman of the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU), Delta State University (DELSU) Branch, Chief (Comr.) Monday Izu into their fold. During the meeting on Sunday, March 30, 2025, the party leaders, stakeholders and members passed a vote of confidence in Delta State Governor, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, praising his administration’s progress.
The motion for the vote of confidence in Governor Sheriff Oborevwori was moved by Chief (Hon) Eseoghene Omamogho and seconded by Ward 2 Chairman, Dcn. Ogheneochuko Ogune. This expression of support signifies the party’s confidence in Oborevwori’s leadership and their intention to return him to office in 2027. The party members commended Gov. Oborevwori’s MORE Agenda, aimed at developing Delta State.
Meanwhile, the immediate past Chairman of SSANU-DELSU Branch, Chief (Comr.) Monday Izu has praised the Vice Chancellor of Delta State University (DELSU), Abraka, Prof. Samuel Ogheneovo Asagba for his remarkable developmental strides and impact in the University within a short time of four (4) months of assumption of office. Specifically, Chief Izu expressed gratitude to the Vice Chancellor for the construction of a link road, an exotic car park and resumption of work on the abandoned Lecture Theatre at the Faculty of Arts, which has showcased Asagba’s commitment to enhancing the University’s infrastructure. Chief Izu, who was answering questions from our correspondents, called on all stakeholders including staff, students and the Abraka community to mobilise support for Prof. Asagba to enable him to achieve his laudable dream for the University.
