Christmas In Emevor: Okpomo Gives Back With Massive Donations

Executive Assistant to the Governor of Delta State on Beautification, Chief Emmanuel Erezi Okpomo has celebrated the Christmas holidays with his people at Emevor community in Isoko North Local Government Area.

Chief Okpomo, a notable philanthropist, brought joy to the local communities in a grand gesture of generosity with a donation of over 200 bags of rice, 300 wrappers and over N1million cash to various groups at Oyaro-Emevor, Emevor Town and Egbahe-Emevor.

At Oyaro-Emevor, Okpomo gave out 90 bags of rice, 100 wrappers, N150,000 cash to the women and N200,000 cash to the youths and the men.

The Okpako Ewheya of Emevor and her cabinet got 70 wrappers with bags of rice and cash donation of N150,000. While Egbahe women got 55 wrappers, 58 bags of rice and N200,000 cash for the women while the men and youths got N150,000 cash.

Other groups which benefited from Okpomo’s largesse include Hunters Association, Vigilantes Group of Nigeria, VGN, and the Emevor community Vigilantes.

The Executive aide to the Governor also celebrated with over 70 children at the ceremony.

Speaking during the ceremonies, Okpomo expressed gratitude for the love and support the community had shown him over the years.

“This season is about sharing love and spreading joy.

“I have been blessed, and it is my duty to give back to the people who have nurtured me. This is my way of saying thank you and reminding us all of the importance of unity and kindness.”

He commended the Emevor people for their support to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State.

He said the Governor has done well for the Emevor people with the construction of the Emevor-Orogun road phase 1 and subsequent award of the phase 2.

He urged the people to work towards returning the Governor for a second term come 2027 to enable him complete the project and initiate new ones.

The event was more than just a donation; it was a celebration of community spirit, music performances, and prayers of thanksgiving filled the air.

Children received small gifts, and elders were specially recognized for their contributions to the community’s growth.

By the end of the day, the Emevor communities were buzzing with stories of Chief Okpomo’s generosity. For many, it was a Christmas to remember—a reminder of the power of giving and the true essence of the holiday season.
