Public Presentation of Lion Fortune Wagbatsoma As Lion’s Clubs District Governor
It was a honour of celebration as top-notch of the International Association of Lion’s Clubs beyond the walls of District 404A1 troop-in Brownhill Events Centre, Ogunu in Delta State on the auspicious occasion of the public presentation of Lion Fortune Wagbatsoma as District Governor, International Association of Lion’s Clubs, District 404A1.
The Presentation Ceremony whick took place on Saturday 14th August, 2021 at Brownhill Event Centre, Ogunu featured Past District Governors from the District, high ranking Lion’s Club Members, Region Chairpersons, Zone Chairpersons, Club Presidents/Executives, Members and Partners amongst many too numerous to mention.
Briefing journalists at the event, Lion Fortune Wagbatsoma stated that the District under her leadership shall focused on enhancing the service journey through building of “BONDS OF KINDNESS ” adding that the theme emphasizes the value of strong partnership and team efforts within our clubs, our zones, our communities and beyond.
According to her, We can gain significant acceptance within the communities we serve by building alliances with local development groups, enterprises, state and local governments, cultural and social associations among many others.
“We have a great opportunity before us to conduct needs assessments working with active health and lifestyle groups in our communities. We equally can sign up partnerships with national and global NGOs and draw attention to specific needs within our communities” she added.
The new District Governor, District 404A1 2021/2022 Lion’s Year whose tenure commenced since July 1, 2021 and to end June 30, 2022, stated that apart from carryout project’s that will have great Impacts on the lives of humanity and the society at large, the district will focus on Supporting weak clubs through a well defined sustainability plan and a better community engagement, Improving Members Satisfaction through a team approach to new club development, member recruitment, retention, global service and leadership development, seeking out new local partnership that address our 5 Global Causes and spread our impacts to more beneficiaries
Lion Wagbatsoma expressed joy at the giant strides Lions Clubs within the district had made adding that the District under her leadership will experience an Impressive turnaround via laudable projects delivery that will better the lives of humanity in the 2021/2022 Lion’s Year “We appreciate all men and women of goodwill, donor, agencies and multilateral organizations that have partnered with us and those who has shown Interest in supporting us in alleviating the plight of the vulnerable in our society.”
She called for every hand to be on the plough and appealed to well-meaning Nigerians to either identify with the laudable objectives of the International Association of Lions Clubs by becoming a Lion or partner with Lions Clubs to bring succor to the vulnerable.
She seeked the continous support of all Lions and partners in other to achieve a productive and impactful 2021/2022 Lions Year, assuring club Members and Leaders of her commitment to take the District to an enviable height.
