S’Court Verdict: Ofomukoro congratulates PDP, Oborevwori over legal victories
A Chieftain of People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and Ughelli North PDP Chairmanship aspirant in the forthcoming local govt election, Comrade Lucky Olerhimena Ofomukoro, has congratulated the PDP and Governor Sheriff Oborevwori over the well deserved supreme court victory in Abuja.
Ofomukoro who gives thanks to God almighty for his mercy and continued victories to his son and servant, the Governor of Delta State, Hon Sheriff Oborevwori at both the Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal in Asaba and the Supreme Court on Friday last week in Abuja.
According to him, the governorship election petitions tribunal sitting in Asaba, had, on Thursday July 6, dismissed the petition of Mr. Ken Pela, the LP governorship candidate for abandoning his petition, which defined its lack of merit and competence.
Similarly, the Supreme Court, on Friday July 7, also dismissed an appeal brought before it by Chief Ikie Aghwarianovwe, a PDP governorship aspirant, seeking the disqualification of Governor Oborevwori for lack of merit.
Comrade Ofomukoro described both appellate courts verdicts as God’s will and perfect grace of favor upon his His Excellency, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, saying that Governor Oborevwori has been predestined by God to be governor of Delta State and that no amount of gang up and injustice bedeviled against him will stand because he’s destined and be favored, he said.
Speaking to newsmen at a function over the weekend, he said, Governor Oborevwori is a man of peace, humble and a great phenomenon who has dedicated the court victories to Almighty God, thanked God for stamping His feet on the solid rock of Delta State govt, for no man can shake.
The PDP local govt chairmanship aspirant, implode Deltans to trust and believe in Governor Oborevwori administration, noting that he has pledged to continue to be the governor of all Deltans and a servant leader that everyone will access. He said this at his 60th birthday anniversary in Asaba, that being a governor will not change my personality from you, Deltans, Sheriff quoted.
He further reiterate Governor Oborevwori’s firm commitment and desire to build a more peaceful coexistence and prosperous Delta State through the M.O.R.E agenda.
“He also congratulated the leadership of the party, PDP for standing firm in the journey thus far, expressing that this shows we are really one big family and we are grateful to God for guiding us through this challenging journey. I know God has taken over our battles, therefore, we are more than conquerors”.
However, I call on all PDP leaders who are still holding grief in one way or the other, to shelve off whatever it is to come together and join hands with Governor Sheriff Oborevwori to build a Delta State of our dream, Ofomukoro advised.
Hence, he urged all Deltans, most especially PDP faithful and party leaders to continue to pray to God almighty to guide and strengthen our Governor, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori with sound wisdom and good health so that he can succeed in the M.O.R.E agenda to all Deltans.
