Udu Female Hub Registers as Cooperative Society, Commends Oyibode’s Support

The Udu Female Hub has achieved a significant milestone with its official registration as a cooperative society, a development expected to strengthen its commitment to promoting female entrepreneurship, economic empowerment and leadership among young women in Udu Local Government Area of Delta State.

The registration marks a new chapter in the organisation’s drive to create opportunities for young female entrepreneurs to build sustainable businesses, develop their leadership capacities and thrive economically.

As part of its empowerment initiatives, the Udu Female Hub disclosed that nine young female entrepreneurs had so far benefited from cash grants facilitated through councillors’ empowerment programmes across five wards in Udu.

The initiative underscores the importance of grassroots-driven interventions in supporting budding entrepreneurs, fostering financial independence and encouraging greater participation of young women in economic activities.

The organisation expressed profound appreciation to the Executive Chairman of Udu Local Government Council, Olorogun (Hon.) Vincent Ogheneruemu Oyibode, JP, FCIA, for sponsoring the registration of the cooperative society.

It described the chairman’s support as a demonstration of his commitment to the empowerment of the girl child and the promotion of initiatives designed to improve the economic prospects of young women.

With its formal registration, the Udu Female Hub Cooperative Society is poised to consolidate its activities and advance its mission of empowering young women to build, lead and thrive.

The statement was signed by the Udu Female Hub Cooperative Society Media.
