Independent correspondent Kofa raises threat to life alarm by unidentified youth group

• Charges Nigeria Police to investigate those behind

A seasoned journalist and a Senior Correspondent of Independent Newspaper Comrade Kofa Kingsley has raised an alarm of threat to his life over series of attempt by a suspected cult group trailing his whereabout.

Kofa, made the SOS called to Nigerian while charging the Nigeria Police Force and other security agencies to investigate the suspicious youth group and unravelled the motive behind their lurking around his compound .

‘ I don’t know who I have offended in the course of discharging my duties as a journalist.To the best of my knowledge I have not offended no body, and I can’t remember if had altercation with body recently, my reportage of events, happenings, on security, environment and and political issues were duly followed by ethics of journalism.

A neighbour who does not want his name on print some said while I was away, that in the late hours of 11th July, 2026 around 11;20 pm some unidentified youths numbering around six all dressed in dark cloths came to my compound with touchlight pointed straight to my building , trying to get a view inside my parlour and going round to the rooms to see if I was inside and immediately drove off the scene as dogs in area persistently barked.

The source also informed me that same attempt was made on the 14th July,2026 with four youths who strolled into my compound around 8;pm and left immediately they realised I was not at home.

Continuing ‘ a youth living in Oteri community identified Mark Oghenewvegba whom I told about the youth group trailing my movement, said from description of their code and nocturnal operation be members of Aro Bagger cult, he opined.

Following these various attempts, the matter has been reported to the Nigeria Police A division Ughelli for them to investigate those behind these nocturnal movement to my compound and the motive behind these attempts on my life .
