Oyibode Commends Oborevwori For Approving Key Road Projects In Udu, Other Parts of Delta

The Executive Chairman of Udu Local Government Council, Olorogun (Hon.) Vincent Ogheneruemu Oyibode, JP, FCIA has expressed profound appreciation to the Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori for approving several strategic infrastructural projects across the state, particularly those that will significantly impact Udu Local Government Area.

Oyibode gave the commendation following the State Executive Council (EXCO) meeting held yesterday where the Governor approved the rehabilitation and reconstruction of critical roads and other developmental projects in different parts of Delta State.

Among the projects approved is the rehabilitation and reconstruction of the Otu-Jeremi/Udu Road, stretching from the Warri–Port Harcourt Expressway at ECN Junction to the DSC Expressway. The project is expected to ease transportation, boost commercial activities, and improve connectivity within the area.

The EXCO also approved erosion control works along the Ekakpamre/Ekrokpe–Usiefrun/Orhuwhorun roads, as well as the construction of internal and external roads at the Udu Harbour Market, a development that is anticipated to enhance trade and economic activities within the market environment.

Other projects approved by the council include the construction of Igbogidi Road, off Orhuwhorun Road, the Udu Market Access Road and the construction of Tipper Road leading to the Ethiope River in Obiaruku, alongside several other key projects across the state.

Reacting to the development, Oyibode described Governor Oborevwori as a promise keeper whose administration has continued to demonstrate genuine commitment to infrastructural development and the wellbeing of Deltans.

According to him, the governor’s approval of the projects reflects his dedication to equitable development across the state and his determination to improve the living conditions of the people.

He noted that the projects will not only enhance road connectivity but will also stimulate economic growth, improve access to markets and address environmental challenges such as erosion in the affected communities.

The Udu Council boss further lauded Governor Oborevwori for making the MORE Agenda visible and impactful across the nooks and crannies of Delta State through deliberate policies and developmental initiatives.

Oyibode expressed confidence that the governor’s performance has continued to win the admiration and support of the people adding that the good people of Udu Local Government Area would reciprocate the governor’s developmental strides with massive support at the polls in the 2027 elections.
