Birthday: NUJ Ughelli Applauds Malcolm Oteri’s Media Prowess

The Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Ughelli Correspondents Chapel, Prince Dr. Mathias Ogbagah has on behalf of the teeming members of the Chapel congratulated the General Manager of Delta Broadcasting Service (DBS), Warri, Pastor Malcolm Oteri on the occasion of his birth anniversary today, Wednesday, March 4, 2026.

In a statement issued by the NUJ Chairman and signed by the Secretary of the Chapel, Comrade Henry Ubus, the union described Pastor Oteri as a seasoned journalist whose career trajectory reflects professionalism, editorial depth, and exceptional administrative acumen.

The Chapel noted that under his stewardship, DBS Warri has continued to uphold the core values of journalism, accuracy, balance, fairness and public accountability while strengthening its role as a credible voice in information dissemination and public enlightenment across Delta State and beyond.

Prince Ogbagah commended the celebrant’s unflinching commitment to ethical journalism and strategic newsroom management, describing him as a media executive who understands the dynamics of modern broadcasting and the imperatives of responsible journalism in a democratic society.

“Pastor Malcolm Oteri remains a shining example of leadership in the broadcast industry. His administrative prowess and dedication to capacity building have repositioned DBS Warri as a competitive player in the evolving media landscape,” the statement read.

The NUJ Ughelli Correspondents Chapel prayed for long life, sound health, and greater accomplishments for the celebrant, expressing optimism that his years of experience and visionary leadership will continue to add value to the journalism profession.
