The Urhobo Palace Representatives on Oil and Gas have expressed profound gratitude to the Delta State Governor Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori for the presentation of 65 brand new Sports Utility Vehicles (SUVs) to traditional rulers across the state.
The Chairman of the group Chief Wilson Ejeben described the gesture as a clear demonstration of Governor Oborevwori’s deep respect and high regard for royal fathers whom he acknowledged as critical stakeholders in the maintenance of peace, stability, and grassroots development in Delta State.
Chief Ejeben noted that traditional rulers play indispensable roles in fostering harmony within their respective kingdoms and serve as vital links between the government and the people. According to him equipping them with operational vehicles will significantly enhance their effectiveness in discharging their traditional, administrative, and advisory responsibilities.
The group expressed surprise at the Governor’s magnanimity especially in view of the numerous infrastructural and developmental projects currently being executed across the state under the Oborevwori administration.
“This thoughtful intervention coming at a time when the state government is simultaneously undertaking massive infrastructural development underscores the Governor’s inclusive leadership style and his unflinching commitment to strengthening traditional institutions,” Chief Ejeben stated.
On behalf of the Urhobo Palace Representatives on Oil and Gas he offered prayers for Governor Oborevwori and expressed optimism that the performance scorecard of his administration will surpass those of his predecessors.
