Ugen Quarter Hails Udu Council Boss Over Electricity Support, Scholarships, Empowerment Programmes
Ugen Quarter of Oghior Town in Udu Local Government Area, under the leadership of Pastor Moses Ovie, held its monthly meeting on Wednesday, 27th May 2026.
During the meeting, members received and reviewed reports from the recent Oghior Community Town Hall Meeting as presented by the Executive Chairman of Udu Local Government Area, Olorogun (Hon) Vincent Ogheneruemu Oyibode, JP, FCIA.
Key highlights of the report focused on several impactful initiatives and goodwill gestures extended by Olorogun Vincent Oyibode towards Oghior Community, including:
- Continuous payment of electricity bills for the entire Oghior Community.
- A promise to sponsor five scholarships annually for students of the community who secure admission into tertiary institutions.
- Annual financial empowerment of ₦100,000 each to at least 20 members of the community.
Members of Ugen Quarter expressed immense joy and appreciation, noting that God is using one of their own, the Udu Council Chairman, to wipe away the tears of many through purposeful and compassionate leadership.
The quarter also seized the opportunity to unanimously pass a vote of confidence on the Executive Chairman, Olorogun (Hon) Vincent Ogheneruemu Oyibode, JP, FCIA, while pledging their continuous support, prayers, and cooperation towards the success of his administration in Udu Local Government Area.
