Udu NULGE Chairman Commends Oyibode, Says ‘No Pain, No Gain’ Over Ongoing Road Construction.
By Henry Ubus.
The Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), Udu Local Government Chapter, Comrade Mathew Aghoghophia Emuejevwe, has called on residents and road users to exercise patience over the ongoing rigid pavement construction along the Udu/ECN Road.
Comrade Emuejevwe made this appeal following the gridlock recently witnessed on the route as a result of the ongoing construction work being executed by the Executive Chairman of Udu Local Government Council, Olorogun Vincent Ogheneruemu Oyibode JP FCIA.
He stated that the temporary inconveniences caused by the project are necessary sacrifices for the greater good of Udu people, emphasizing that Olorogun Oyibode means well for the development of the area.
According to him, “We must all bear with the ongoing construction work. No pain, no gain. The Council Chairman is working tirelessly to change the face of Udu through meaningful infrastructural development. Udu shall be great again.”
The NULGE boss lauded the Udu Council Chairman for his visionary leadership and commitment to addressing long-standing infrastructural challenges in the locality, adding that the rigid pavement project, when completed, will bring lasting relief to motorists and residents who ply the road daily.
