Suspected Thief, Prosper Ibekwe, 23, Caught by Delta Residents
Residents of Ejewhor Street in Okumagba Layout,Warri, Delta State today apprehended a twenty three(23)year old suspected thief,Prosper Ibekwe in their Street.
The suspect was given the beatings of his life by the residents.
They accused him of alleged connivance in stealing the mobile phone of an individual.
Found in the possession of the suspect were, a palm slippers, a big spanner, DV player, measuring tape, hammer and others.
The suspect who gave his name as Prosper Ibekwe in chat with Our Correspondent denied the allegations leveled against him insisting that he is innocent.
According to him, he only picked the palm slipper of a suspect who stole the mobile phone as he was being chased.
He explained that by the time he picked the slipper, he never knew the suspect had stolen anything in the area until he was accosted by residents who saw him with the slipper.
Prosper said he knows the haven where to find the suspected thief but that he does not know him to his house.
