*REPORT OF 2021 UDU KINGDOM* *LEADERSHIP SUMMIT*, *ORGANIZED BY UNION OF UDU COMMUNITIES (UUC) WHICH WAS* *HELD ON SEPTEMBER 23rd, 2021* *AT BEST WESTERN WETLAND HOTEL, UDU LGA.*

The Administrative Arm of Udu Kingdom, known as the Union of Udu Communities (UUC), ably led by High Chief Godwin Jefia Notoma, as President General with 24 other Executives and Presidents/Chairmen of all Udu Communities as members. Having considered the prevailing Leadership, Economic, Political, and Developmental challenges in the Kingdom, put together this Summit and also carried out a Pre-Summit interviews of Key Leaders (courtesy Treasures Int’l Magazine) as part of our effort in addressing the issues.
At the 1000 capacity Hall of the Best Western Hotel, where the Summit was held, the Chairman of the Planning Committee, Ms Excellence Miller Efeakpokrire (PRO UUC and Publisher Treasures Int’l Magazine), on behalf of the Committee and the Executives of the Union of Udu Communities (UUC), warmly welcomed, HE Sen Dr Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa , the Executive Governor of Delta State, ably represented by the Chief of Staff, Rt. Hon. Chief Festus Ovie Agas and his entourage, Special Guests, Panel of Resource Persons, Religious Bodies, Political, Economic, Captains of Industries, including all other Sons and Daughters to the First Leadership Summit of Udu Kingdom and:assured delegates of a rich Summit.
Declaring the Summit open, the President General of Udu Kingdom, High Chief Godwin Jefia Notoma in his welcome address, unveiled the necessities that gave rise to the Summit.
Then followed Goodwill messages from some prominent Elected and Appointed Political office holders which include,

Hon. Chief Vincent Oyibode JP, Comm. representing Udu, Ughelli South, Uvwie and Uhrobos in Warri South LGA.
Hon.Chief Jite Brown JP. Executive Chairman, Udu LGA.
The Ovie of Udu Kingdom His Royal Majesty, Owhorhu 1, Barr. E. B. Delekpe JP who was unavoidably absent, sent a paper for consideration by the Summit.
There was also Goodwill messages from Sir Richard Odibo as he then was, Fed. Comm. NPC, Hon. Chief Andrew Orugbo, Chairman Governing Council, Delta State Poly, Oghara and Sir Pat Willie, the immediate past President Ufuoma Udu Association etc
The highpoint of the Summit, was the presentations made by the Panel of our Resource Persons.
First was High Chief Sam Odibo JP. the Otota of Udu kingdom, (The Prime Minister) who spoke on the topic: Our Republicanism in a Monarchy, the need to forge unity.
Followed by Engr. Mike Orugbo JP, the Chairman/CEO Osecul Nig Ltd, who spoke on; Udu Economic and Development Agenda for Political Followup.
Prof.Godini Gabriel Darah , who talked on the topic: Good Leadership; Building Synergy between the Traditional Institution, Political Class and the People.
Engr. Alex Neyin, Senior Management staff, Chevron (Rtd) whose topic was, How Udu can Benefit Maximally from her Oil and Gas Resources.
This concluded the special segment of the Summit. Their papers reflected the Summit Theme ‘ Building Synergy Towards Udu Development’.
The President General of UPU Worldwide, Olorogun Moses Taiga in his Goodwill message through the First Deputy President General UPU Worldwide, Olorogun Capt. Dr. Anthony Onoharigho, who gave apology for his unavoidable absence, assured to always support the Udu people as well as every Urhobo Kingdom, and promised an alliance with Premium Steel and Mines Ltd to organize free training for Udu indigenes who are willing to be trained in welding and fabrication jobs.
His Excellency Sen. Dr. Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa , ably represented by his Chief of Staff, Rt. Hon . Chief Agas, in his response, explained the reason for the Governor’s absence and assured the people of Udu that he will channel issues raised to the State Government, on whose Authority he is here. The Chief of Staff promised to emphasize on the Udu Harbour Market and other matters as may be conveyed in the Communique arising from the Leadership Summit.
The Summit was well attended. Once again, on behalf of the Planning Committee and the Executives of the Union of Udu Communities (UUC) Udu kingdom, we heartily appreciate you all who took time out of your busy schedule to honour our invitation as well as those who were unavoidably absent for their continuous support, promoting a worthy course in changing the Leadership narrative towards Udu Development.
