The Senior Special Assistant to the Delta State Governor on Community Development, Chief Oscar Ishaka, has expressed profound appreciation to the Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori for approving the construction of the Oleri Community Road in Udu Local Government Area.

Chief Ishaka, who holds the chieftaincy title of Okoke of Udu Kingdom and a former President of Opete Community, described the approval of the road project as a significant milestone that would bring relief to residents and boost economic activities in the area.

Speaking on the development, he thanked Governor Oborevwori for remembering the people of Oleri Community and responding to their long-standing infrastructural needs.

According to him, the deplorable condition of the road had adversely affected the socio-economic activities of residents for several years, making movement difficult for commuters, traders, farmers, and other road users.

“The approval of the Oleri Community Road is a welcome development. For years, the poor state of the road has hampered economic activities and caused untold hardship for our people. We are grateful to Governor Oborevwori for listening to the cries of the people and approving this important project,” he said.

Chief Ishaka also extended special appreciation to Most Revrend Father, Anthony Ewherido, the Catholic Bishop of Warri Diocese for his role and advocacy which contributed to the approval of the project.

He further acknowledged the efforts of other stakeholders who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure that the road project received the necessary attention from the state government.

The Governor’s aide equally commended the Executive Chairman of Udu Local Government Council, Vincent Ogheneruemu Oyibode, JP FCIA for his commitment to the development of Udu communities.

Chief Ishaka noted that the council Chairman had consistently leveraged his cordial relationship with the state government to attract development projects to Udu Local Government Area.

He expressed optimism that the commencement and completion of the road project would improve transportation, stimulate economic growth, and enhance the living conditions of residents of Oleri Community and adjoining areas.

He urged the people of the community to continue supporting the administration of Governor Oborevwori and other leaders working towards the development of Udu and Delta State at large.
