The Chairman of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Delta State Chapter, Comrade Sagboje Odiri Milton, CLN, has expressed profound gratitude to the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) following his appointment as a Member of the Youth Mobilisation Committee of the APC National Campaign Council for the forthcoming Osun State Governorship Election.

In a statement made available to journalists, Comrade Sagboje described the appointment as a solemn responsibility rather than a personal achievement, saying it reflects the confidence the APC continues to place in the capacity of young Nigerians to contribute meaningfully to the nation’s democratic development.

He noted that the appointment further demonstrates the party’s commitment to youth inclusion and leadership development, adding that the APC has consistently created opportunities for competent, loyal, and committed young people to participate actively in nation-building.

Sagboje expressed deep appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for his visionary leadership and unwavering commitment to youth empowerment through the Renewed Hope Agenda, which he said has inspired a new generation of political leaders across the country.

He also thanked the National Chairman of the APC, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda; the National Secretary, Distinguished Senator Surajudeen Ajibola Basiru; members of the National Working Committee; and the APC National Secretariat for finding him worthy of the strategic national assignment.

The NYCN Delta Chairman equally acknowledged the support and mentorship of the Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, whom he described as a leader whose exemplary leadership, political maturity, and commitment to youth inclusion continue to inspire many young people. He also expressed appreciation to the governor for the opportunity to serve the party at the national level.

Sagboje dedicated the appointment to Nigerian youths, particularly members of the National Youth Council of Nigeria and the Forum of State Chairmen, where he serves as Deputy National Secretary. He commended their resilience, solidarity, and commitment to advancing the interests of young people across the federation.

According to him, Nigeria’s future depends on young people who are willing to move beyond criticism to constructive participation and from aspirations to purposeful action, stressing that sustainable national development requires active political engagement and grassroots mobilisation.

He pledged total loyalty to the All Progressives Congress and assured the party of his readiness to deploy his experience, energy, and extensive grassroots network to galvanise youth participation towards securing victory for the APC governorship candidate, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO), in the forthcoming Osun State Governorship Election.

Sagboje also called on young Nigerians, party faithful, and supporters of the Renewed Hope Agenda to unite behind the APC’s campaign efforts, urging them to strengthen grassroots structures, inspire hope, and work collectively towards another electoral victory for the party.

He reaffirmed his belief that building the nation’s youth remains the surest pathway to building a stronger and more prosperous Nigeria.
