NYCN Delta Celebrates Mama Delta, Deaconess Tobore Oborevwori, at 56

The youths of Delta State, under the aegis of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Delta State Chapter, have extended warm birthday felicitations to the First Lady of Delta State, Her Excellency, Deaconess Mrs. Tobore Oborevwori, as she marks her 56th birthday, describing her as a symbol of compassion, service, and enduring humanitarian impact.

In a congratulatory statement issued on Thursday, the NYCN Delta State Chairman and Deputy National Secretary of the Forum of NYCN State Chairmen, Comrade Sagboje Odiri Milton, CLN, said the life and works of the First Lady reflect rare depth, generosity, and consistency in service to humanity.

Comrade Milton likened her influence to “a well-prepared meal that nourishes the soul and leaves lasting warmth long after it is shared,” noting that her kindness and commitment continue to touch lives across Delta State.

The youth body particularly commended the First Lady’s humanitarian interventions through the YOU MATTER Foundation, describing the initiative as a beacon of hope for young people, women, children, and other vulnerable groups in the state. According to the NYCN, the foundation has continued to restore dignity, provide relief, and reinforce the true essence of selfless service to humanity.

“These interventions have brought comfort to the vulnerable and strengthened the social fabric of our communities, reaffirming that leadership is most impactful when driven by empathy and love,” the statement noted.

Beyond her philanthropic efforts, the Council also acknowledged Deaconess Oborevwori’s quiet but steadfast role as a pillar of support to the Executive Governor of Delta State, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori. The NYCN described her as a dependable source of prayers, wisdom, and encouragement, whose influence contributes to stability, compassion, and youth-friendly governance in the state.

“At 56, Her Excellency exemplifies grace, substance, and unwavering commitment to service. Hers is a life where love is freely given, kindness knows no boundaries, and service remains constant,” the statement added.

The NYCN further described the First Lady as a true mother to all Deltans, whose care transcends social status and geographical boundaries, leaving indelible footprints of hope and compassion in communities across the state.

On behalf of the youths of Delta State and the entire leadership of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, the Council prayed for the First Lady’s continued good health, long life, peace, and prosperity, asking God to reward her dedication to humanity with renewed strength and fulfillment.
