Maiden conference for directors of gender centres in Nigerian Universities holds in DELSU Abraka, Nov 21

The Centre for Gender and Development Studies, Delta State University, Abraka in collaboration with the African Centre for Leadership, Strategy and Development, Abuja will hold a 2-day maiden conference for directors of gender centres in Nigerian universities.
A statement released by the Host/Convener and Acting Director, Centre for Gender and Development Studies, DELSU Abraka, Dr (Mrs) Ufuoma Awhefeada shows that the opening ceremony will take place on Tuesday, 21st November, 2023 at the 1st 750 Lecture Theatre, Site III by 10:00am.
The conference, themed, ‘Gender Centres in Nigerian Universities: Impetus for National Development’ will have the Vice Chancellor of DELSU Abraka, Prof Andy Ogochukwu Egwunyenga as the Chief Host and erudite scholar of Sociology and Gender Studies, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Professor Olabisi I. Aina as Guest Speaker.
Events at the conference with germane sub-themes would also be virtually transmitted.
