GORU VISITS DESOPADEC AREA OFFICES IN UDU, UGHELLI SOUTH, AND UVWIE

The Commissioner representing Udu, Ughelli South, Uvwie and Urhobos of Warri South LGA on the board of Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC), Hon Karo Goru, today paid working visit to DESOPADEC area offices in Udu, Ughelli South and Uvwie LGAs which are parts of his mandate areas. He visited Otor-Udu, Otu-Jeremi and Effurun area offices respectively.

The familiarization tour was born out of the DESOPADEC Commissioner’s desire to ensure that the staff in the area offices work in synergy with the zonal office and as well carry out their duties without any clog. Staff of the various area offices lamented over their unconducive working environment and poor remuneration packages.

In response, the DESOPADEC Commissioner assured staff of the various area offices that he will do his very best in ensuring workers’ welfare and conducive work environment. He also promised that he will be visiting the workers in the various area offices periodically. He however admonished the staff of the area offices to always be at their best so as to ensuring the success of the Commission.
