From Student’s Union Activist to Doctorate Holder And Executive Assistant: The Inspiring Odyssey of Dr. Okoh Ezekiel

Dr. Okoh Ezekiel Oghenetega began his political journey over 17 years ago at the College of Education in Warri, Delta State. Dr. Okoh, the current NANS President Comr. Lucky Emonefe and others campaigned for me then rigorously which led to my emergence as the Student’s Union President (SUG) at College of Education Warri. In the words of Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, “The heights great men reached and kept were not attained by sudden flight, but while their companions slept, they were toiling upward in the night.

In a remarkable tale of resilience and achievement, Dr. Okoh Ezekiel Oghenetega has emerged as a shining example of dedication and perseverance. From his early days as a fervent union activist, Dr. Oghenetega navigated the tumultuous waters of student advocacy to ascend to remarkable heights in both academia and public service.

After years of tireless advocacy and activism within student unions, Dr. Oghenetega embarked on a rigorous academic journey, culminating in the attainment of a Doctor of Philosophy in International Finance. His unwavering commitment to education and excellence propelled him through the challenging academic landscape, earning him accolades and recognition from peers and mentors alike.

Simultaneously, Dr. Oghenetega assumed the pivotal role of Executive Assistant to the Governor of Delta State, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, with a special focus on Student’s Affairs. In this capacity, he has demonstrated exceptional leadership and dedication, advocating tirelessly for the welfare and empowerment of students across the state.
