Delta School of Health Provost Seek NUJ Partnership In Promoting Institutions Activities
The Provost of Delta State College of Health Technology, Ofuoma, Chief Dr. Mrs Augustina Erah, has seek the partnership of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Ughelli Correspondents Chapel in promoting activities of the institution.
Dr. Mrs. Augustina Erah disclosed this when management of the institution hosted members of Ughelli Correspondents Chapel of the NUJ at the College.
She stressed that the institution needs the NUJ to preserve its mage whenever the needs arises. “I am very pleased to host the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Ughelli Correspondents Chapel today in Delta State College of Health Technology. You have been friends to both me and the College. You have assisted us in difficult times, even when you had no knowledge that your sister and friend is the head of the Institution”, she added.
According to her, “information is key and power, yet when misrepresented can bring down an institution. We recognise your worth and impact in the society. We are grateful that you are our friends. We also appeal that you continue to preserve the image of the Institution as you have always done.
“Today we celebrate together as friends with lots of gratitude and love in our hearts. Thank you for all you have been doing for us. We are eternally grateful”, she said.
On his part, Chairman of Ughelli Correspondents Chapel of Nigeria the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Comrade Sunday Apah, commended the Provost, Management and the Governing Council of the institution for the hosting, positing that, the ceremony was first of it’s kind since the creation of the institution for over 20 years ago.
In his words; “Indeed the current administration is really poised to develop the school to enviable heights, because this meeting will further strengthen the relationship between the school authority and Journalists in the State.
“As Journalists we are ready to partner with you by publishing your activities such as matriculation, convocation, seminars, symposium, AGM, and any other important events to ensure that the school is upgraded from its present status of School of Health Technology to College of Health Technology to boost the number of new entrants”, he added.
