Delta State PDP Youths in Ughelli South, Udu, and Ethiope Local Government areas have passed a vote of explicit confidence on the candidacy of Atiku/Okowa and all PDP candidates in the state.
The event took place at the respective Local Government Area Party Secretariats, when the team on sensitisation/familiarisation tour, led by the PDP Youth Leader, Hon.Victor Egbo, visited the youth leaders and party faithfuls in the area.
The youths, who were elated with the developmental strides of Senator Dr Ifeanyi Okowa, said with the level of developments and youth inclusiveness of his administration, they were sure they would experience more, if he emerged as the Vice President come 2023.
They promised to support and work diligently for the party to achieve victory for the gubernatorial ticket and all other PDP candidates in the 2023 polls.
They however appealed for more empowerments and appointments into various offices so they could be stable financially and also empower their followers.
Responding, the Udu consistency candidate, Hon Jite Brown and the Ethiope East counterpart for the State House of Assembly, Hon. Arthur Akpowowo, lauded the leadership style of Hon Egbo, saying it would spur the youths in the areas to function effectively in their roles in the society.
In his response, Hon Egbo commended the youths in the various areas for their steadfastness in keeping faith with the party since the inception of democracy and urged them to continue in that stead as better days were ahead for the youths as long as he continued to pilot the affairs of youths in the state.
Hon Egbo added that they should go out and convinced eligible voters from the areas who were yet to get their PVCs from INEC to do so without delay so as to support the party to victory in 2023 general elections.
