Delta Govt. Tasks Contractor of Warri/Effurun Water Reservoir On Speedy Completion of Project

The Delta State Government has called on Don Domingo Water Company charged to build water reservoir at Warri and Effurun to take their job seriously and deliver on time.
The commissioner for Water Resources Development, Rt. Hon.Evelyn Oboro Esq., stated this when she had meeting with the leaders of the company in Asaba.
Oboro said the project which is on Public Private Partnership will help to supply clean water to residents of Warri, Effurun and neighbouring communities.
She told leaders of the company to speed up as the project was major, important and very dear to the Governor Ifeanyi Okowa led administration.
The commissioner assured them that the state government would take responsibility of any ups tackle that may arise.
She said the ministry would soon embark on inspection of the project to ascertain the level of work and know the best way forward.
She appealed to Deltans to cooperate with the company because government embarked on the project to better their lives.
The Chief Executive Officer of Don Domingo Company in charge of the project, Mr. Freeman George Amadin, says the company was prepared to do a perfect job that would stand the test of time.
He said the work which started in 2016 was delayed by the Covid-19 pandemic and election period, adding that the company would commence major work next month and ensure its completion before the end the present administration.
He promised to cooperate with the state government to ensure the people drink clean water in no distance time.
