Delta @35: Asiuwhu Commends Oborevwori’s Leadership, Calls For Continued Support.
As Delta State marks its 35th anniversary of creation from the old Bendel State, the Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, Patani Local Government Area, Chief Godspower Omafuvwe Asiuwhu, JP, has congratulated Deltans while commending Governor Rt. Hon. Sheriff Francis Oborevwori for what he described as purposeful and people-oriented leadership.
In a goodwill message issued to commemorate the anniversary on August 27, 2026, Asiuwhu described Governor Oborevwori as a God-fearing, visionary and people-focused leader whose administration has continued to pursue the development of the state through the MORE Agenda.
The Patani coordinator said Delta State’s 35-year journey had been characterised by resilience, growth and remarkable progress, noting that the present administration had further strengthened the state’s development through strategic infrastructure, human capital development, people-oriented policies, peacebuilding and good governance.
“Delta State at 35 is indeed blessed to have a God-fearing and visionary leader like Rt. Hon. Sheriff Francis Oborevwori. Through the MORE Agenda, His Excellency has demonstrated a clear commitment to advancing the state, promoting peace, improving infrastructure and creating opportunities for our people. We are confident that Delta has a brighter future ahead,” he said.
Asiuwhu urged Deltans across the three senatorial districts to continue to promote peace, unity and collective responsibility, stressing that sustainable development could only be achieved through the cooperation and active participation of citizens.
He also called on the people of the state to reciprocate what he described as the developmental strides of the Oborevwori administration by sustaining their support for the Governor and the All Progressives Congress (APC).
According to him, continued support for policies and programmes capable of improving the lives of the people remains essential to consolidating the gains recorded in the state.
Asiuwhu further reaffirmed his commitment to the policies and programmes of the Oborevwori administration, assuring that the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, Patani LGA, would continue to support initiatives aimed at promoting development, peace, environmental sustainability and improved living conditions.
He called on Deltans to use the 35th anniversary to reflect on the achievements and challenges of the past while embracing the future with renewed hope, patriotism, unity and determination.
“On behalf of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, Patani Local Government Area, I congratulate all Deltans on the 35th anniversary of our dear state. May Delta State continue to prosper and remain a beacon of peace, unity and development.”
Happy 35th Anniversary, Delta State!
