Delta State former Commissioner for Justice and Attorney-General, Dr. Peter Adogbejire Mrakpor SAN has expressed delight over the Christian Community Platform (CCP) Award conferred on him recently in Warri .
According to him, the recognition bestowed on him is in line with the scripture; Proverbs 29:2….”When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn”
In a statement by the former Commissioner, on his Facebook page on Thursday, said “In attendance, as the Christian Community Platform (CCP) Delta State Chapter held her 2021 Annual In-gathering Prayers/Political sensitisation summit…
As the statement reads, “I had the honour to speak on the Subject caption “Your Vote; Your Power to Enthrone Good Governance”
Mrakpor further noted that the Christian Community Platform “has done so much to promote peace by this singular act than most politicians could do and deserve all the commendation and high honour’’.
Just as he encouraged Christians to vote for adequate representation and not based on sentiment, because if we do, we will face the consequences.
According to the elated group said that “Mrakpor has written his name in gold in the Christian arena and his deeds will resonate wherever and whenever there are discussions on religious tolerance, cordiality within Christians and in the State and around the world’’.
Again Mrakpor told the audience, “that Every Christian who wants to protect the church should be a member of a political group. Prayer without work is dead, as we pray for a better government let us also work towards it. “
He now recommends the sterling virtues of jesus Christ to all Christian Community in particular, and Nigerians in general and Urged them all to register for their Permanent Voters Card, PVCs at their different quarters.
