The Executive Chairman of Udu Local Government Council, Olorogun (Hon) Vincent Ogheneruemu Oyibode, JP FCIA, on 31/10/2024 welcomed the leadership of Living Faith Church (Winners Chapel), Otor-Udu, to his office. The delegation, led by Pastor Joshua Abah, extended their support and spiritual encouragement to the Council Chairman at his Otor-Udu office in Delta State.
Pastor Abah, speaking on behalf of Winners Chapel, congratulated Olorogun Oyibode on his unopposed election and lauded his achievements over his first 100 days in office. Comparing Olorogun Oyibode’s journey to that of the Biblical Joseph, Pastor Abah cited scriptures (Psalm 105:17-21, Acts 7), emphasizing that Olorogun Oyibode’s leadership is truly a blessing to Udu Local Government Area. The visit focused on bringing prophetic support for Olorogun Oyibode’s administration, asking for God’s protection, wisdom, and divine guidance for a successful and impactful tenure.
During the visit, Pastor Abah made special appeals on behalf of Otor-Udu Community, urging improvements to key infrastructure, such as roads and electric power in Otor-Udu, to enhance the area’s development. He also requested a master plan of Otor-Udu to aid in targeted prophetic prayers for community growth. To support Olorogun Oyibode’s spiritual journey in leadership, Pastor Abah presented him with a collection of spiritual books. Commending the Chairman’s vision and commitment, he praised the recent construction of the Council’s Chapel—a milestone that resonates with Pastor Abah’s background as a professional engineer.
In response, Olorogun Oyibode expressed deep gratitude for the Church’s encouragement and spiritual guidance, affirming his commitment to serving Udu with both faith and dedication. He shared how his personal journey in Christ has strengthened his leadership, mentioning that from the moment he assumed office, he dedicated Udu Kingdom to God by establishing a Chapel at the Council Secretariat. “Since I started serving God Almighty, my life has been upward and forward, enjoying His grace,” he said.
Olorogun Oyibode outlined ongoing initiatives at the Council Secretariat, including the construction of a new office for the Executive Chairman and the further development of the Council’s Chapel. He also reflected on his goal for a united and peaceful Udu, mentioning his proactive efforts to resolve longstanding disputes in communities such as Opete, Okpaka, and Ogbe-Udu. “With God’s guidance and my commitment to conflict resolution, I am devoted to fostering unity and progress in Udu,” he emphasized.
Encouraging the Church to keep him in their prayers, Olorogun Oyibode urged everyone to remain steadfast in faith and close to God, acknowledging the power of prayer in his leadership journey.
The meeting concluded on a high note with the presentation of Olorogun Oyibode’s 100 Days in Office scorecard magazine to Pastor Abah and his delegation, marking the beginning of a collaborative relationship aimed at advancing the spiritual and social well-being of Udu LGA.
