Ufuoma Udu Group Congratulates Oyibode On Achievements.
On Tuesday, September 10, 2024, the Ufuoma Udu group paid a congratulatory visit to the Executive Chairman of Udu Local Government Council, Olorogun (Hon.) Vincent Ogheneruemu Oyibode, JP FCIA, at his office in Otor-Udu. During the visit, the group expressed their satisfaction with the chairman’s performance since assuming office.
Speaking on behalf of the group, the immediate past President and the current President, Olorogun Captain Elder Diamond Patrick Ogbeta (JP), highlighted the historical significance of Ufuoma Udu in the creation of Udu Local Government Council during the era of Major General Mathew Dumudje, now of blessed memory. They emphasized that the group has consistently worked for the development and progress of Udu. Furthermore, they lauded the Udu Council boss, Olorogun Oyibode for upholding the 1979 edict in Udu and expressed gratitude to Delta State Governor and the people of Udu for entrusting Oyibode with the leadership of the council, noting that his emergence has changed the narrative in the local government.
In his response, Olorogun Oyibode expressed gratitude to the group for their visit. He reminisced about the time he and the group collaborated with key figures such as Ambassador Dede and Prof. GG Darah to initiate efforts aimed at reclaiming Enerhen for Udu. He thanked the group for their enduring commitment to the development of Udu and underscored the importance of their support. Oyibode invited the group to provide constructive criticism of his administration, stating that such feedback would help his government improve, as no one holds a monopoly on knowledge.
A member of the Ufuoma Udu group, though not currently active, Oyibode reiterated his dedication to advancing Udu’s development and assured the group that he would deliver a laudable scorecard to the people of Udu.
