Orugbo Leads Council Members On Courtesy Visit To Oghara Monarch.

In a gesture of respect and celebration, Chief (Hon.) Oghene-aga Andrew Orugbo, Chairman of the Delta State Polytechnic Otefe Oghara 5th Governing Council, led members of the Polytechnic Council on a courtesy visit to the Ovie of Oghara Kingdom, His Royal Majesty Noble Eshemitan Orefe II, this visit coincided with the monarch’s recent birthday celebration

During the visit, Chief Orugbo congratulated the monarch, lauding his charismatic leadership and unwavering support for the Polytechnic. Chief Orugbo’s remarks highlighted the significant role the Ovie has played in fostering the growth and development of the institution, and he expressed deep gratitude on behalf of the entire Polytechnic community.

“The leadership and support Your Majesty has provided are instrumental in the advancements we have achieved at the Polytechnic,” Chief Orugbo stated. “We are here to celebrate your contributions and to wish you continued good health and prosperity.”

The celebrant, visibly elated by the visit, warmly thanked the Council members for their presence and kind words. His Royal Majesty offered his royal blessings to the visitors, emphasizing the importance of collaboration between traditional leadership and educational institutions in driving community development.

The delegation that accompanied Chief Orugbo included prominent figures from the Polytechnic, such as Prof. Emmanuel Ufuophu- Biri, Rector, Mrs. Bridget Odobor, Mr. Samson Onowugbeda, Dr. Ighere Jacob, Mrs. Helen Onodje, Hon. Friday Omoko, Mr. Lucky Ighoyota, Barr. Felicia Adowei- Ajagu, Mr. Chuwemeke Efedi, Polytechnic Bursar, Auditor, among others. Their presence underscored the significance of the occasion and the high regard in which the monarch is held.

HRM Noble Eshemitan Orefe II expressed his delight at the visit, acknowledging the positive impact of the Polytechnic on the Oghara Kingdom. “The Polytechnic is a pillar of progress in our community, and it is my honor to support such a vital institution,” the Ovie remarked. “I am grateful for your visit and the work you continue to do for our kingdom.”

The event not only marked the celebration of the Ovie’s birthday but also reinforced the strong ties between the Delta State Polytechnic and the Oghara Kingdom. As the visitors departed, they carried with them the royal blessings and a renewed commitment to furthering the mission of the Polytechnic.
