Nigeria At 66: Ukodhiko Advocates Unity, Responsible Leadership, Greater Opportunities
As Nigeria marks her 66th Independence Day Celebration, I warmly felicitate with the good people of Isoko North and South Federal Constituency, and indeed all Nigerians, on this significant occasion.
Independence is not merely a celebration of our freedom from colonial rule, it is also a reminder of the responsibility we bear to build a nation where every citizen has a fair opportunity to live, work, prosper and fulfil his or her God-given potential.
As a nation, we have faced difficult moments, but I remain convinced that Nigeria has the capacity, resources and human capital to rise above her challenges and take her rightful place among the comity of great nations of the world.
For us in Isoko, our responsibility is even more direct. We must continue to demand our rightful place in the Nigerian project, while also contributing meaningfully to the development of our nation.
Our people deserve access to federal opportunities, quality infrastructure, economic empowerment and a political system that places the interests of the people above personal considerations.
I have always believed that politics is fundamentally about service. Leadership must therefore be measured not merely by positions occupied, but by the positive difference we make in the lives of the people we represent.
This is why I remain committed to a representation that is accessible, accountable and development-driven. One that continuously engages with our people, identifies their challenges and uses every legitimate opportunity within the National Assembly to address the challenges.
I am particularly passionate about our young people. They are not merely leaders of tomorrow; they are partners in building the Nigeria of today. We must create opportunities for them, encourage entrepreneurship, support education and skills development, and give them meaningful space in governance and leadership.
As we celebrate, let us therefore renew our faith in Nigeria and continue to work for a country where justice, equity, opportunity and responsible leadership prevail even as we continue to support the Renewed Hope for More Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Sheriff Oborevwori.
To the people of Isoko North and South, I thank you for your continued trust, prayers and support. My commitment to your welfare remains unwavering. Together, we will continue to pursue development, strengthen our collective voice and position Isoko for greater opportunities within the Nigerian federation.
May God continue to bless our people, bless Isoko Nation, and bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Happy 66th Independence Day!
Rep. Pst. Jonathan Ajirioghene Ukodhiko
