EASTER: Asiuwhu Urges Reflection on Christ’s Sacrifice, Gift of Eternal Life
The Chairman of the Delta State Taskforce on Environment, Olorogun Godspower Omafuvwe Asiuwhu, has extended warm Easter greetings to Christians across Delta State and beyond, calling for deep reflection on the true essence of the season.
In a goodwill message to mark the Easter celebration, Asiuwhu emphasized that the occasion goes beyond festivity, describing it as a sacred reminder of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ and the promise of eternal life through His resurrection.
According to him, Easter represents the triumph of life over death and underscores humanity’s need for redemption. He noted that as sinners, mankind requires a Savior, stressing that the blood of Jesus Christ remains the only means of atonement for sins.
“As we observe this holy day, it is fitting to reflect on the true meaning of Easter eternal life made possible through Christ’s triumphant resurrection. At its core, Easter embodies the realization that we all need a Savior, and that Jesus’ sacrifice is the ultimate expression of God’s love for humanity,” he stated.
The Taskforce Chairman urged residents to embrace the virtues of faith, humility, and righteousness, while also promoting peace, unity, and love within their communities.
He further called on citizens to use the period to renew their commitment to godly living and to contribute positively to the growth and development of society.
Asiuwhu concluded by wishing all Christians a joyful and spiritually fulfilling Easter celebration.
