NYCN Delta Council Pays Condolence Visit To Late State Patron’s Family In Ughelli
The Delta State Council of the (NYCN) has paid a condolence visit to the family of its late State Patron in Delta State.
The delegation, led by the State Chairman of the NYCN Delta State Council, visited the family on Thursday to commiserate with them over the passing of the respected elder statesman and supporter of youth development in the state.
Speaking during the visit, Comrade Sagboje expressed deep appreciation to members and leaders of the council who took part in the condolence visit, noting that their presence was a strong demonstration of unity, solidarity, and respect for the late patron who served as a father figure and mentor to many youths across Delta State.
According to him, the late Chief Ovuorayevbie played a significant role in supporting the activities and ideals of the council, leaving behind a legacy of service, wisdom, and commitment to youth empowerment.
He said the visit was not only to mourn the departed patron but also to celebrate a life dedicated to guiding and encouraging young people towards nation building.
“Your presence was a strong demonstration of unity and respect in honour of a father, mentor, and pillar of the Council,” the NYCN chairman stated, while appreciating members for their commitment and sacrifice in honouring the late elder.
Comrade Sagboje also thanked God for granting members of the delegation safe journeys to and from Ughelli, praying that the Almighty God would continue to bless and strengthen them for their dedication to the ideals and vision of the council.
He further urged members of the council to keep alive the values and principles the late patron stood for, stressing the importance of unity, respect for elders, and commitment to youth development as encapsulated in the council’s guiding philosophy: “Build the Youth, Build the Nation and Maintain the Elders.”
The condolence visit brought together leaders and members of the council who gathered to honour the memory of the late patron and to reaffirm their commitment to the growth and progress of the youth body in Delta State.
